EDIT: (19th April) I found more calls for submission. Oh, and for these, you actually get paid some. ^^

Winter Well: Speculative Novellas of Older Women – submission is 30th Sep.

MENIAL: Skilled Labor in SF (Anthology) – submission is 31st May.

Poetry and the League

Last night I went for Poiesis, a poetry slam, which is a fascinating concept. Not that I could ever dare to do the same myself – standing on a stage to perform my poem is quite daunting to me. But if you guys are interested in going to watch (we could go together), there’s a monthly poetry slam (free event) at Blu Jaz, 11 Bali Lane, 2000 – 2200, last Thursday of every month. The Budding Writers League was there yesterday as well. I’ve added my name to their contact list, and you can join them if you want.

Also, I mentioned some local sci-fi/fantasy writers, here’s one of them: Joyce Chng, here’s her book on goodreads.

EDIT (5 Mar 2012): The Budding Writers League has a writing competition for March, if you’re interested.
